Players in all locations where Apex Legends Mobile is accessible may now download the Season 2: Distortion update. This announcement has been made by EA and Respawn Entertainment. Following up on the fan-favorite Loba's reappearance in the Cold Snap mid-season update, Season 2: Distortion will see the introduction of the second mobile-first legend Rhapsody, a rhythm-loving DJ with an adorable but lethal AI-controlled assistant bot dubbed "Rowdy." Along with the launch of Rhapsody, Season 2: Distortion also includes some significant new material, such as a new mode, a new map, and the mobile debut of King's Canyon, a fan-favorite map, and the location of Skull Town.
With less than two months till release, Apex Legends Mobile has already started pushing out significant mobile-first content enhancements that represent the first stages of a roadmap filled with fantastic content. Season 2: Distortion's salient characteristics include the following:

- Pythas Block 0: A beautiful mobile-first Team Deathmatch map, Pythas Block 0 is a corporate campus owned by Pythas Inc. that sits high above the city Kómma on Solace.
- Kings Canyon: The King is back! Rhapsody hid some VIP Tickets for her upcoming show on the map for players to uncover as a way to mark the occasion of the mobile release of Kings Canyon.
New Modes:
- Gun Game: Acquire kills to work your way through the extensive Arsenal of guns available in the Apex Games. Most points or three melee kills win in this fast-paced game mode!
- Hack: In this mode, Hackers and Defenders are two opposing teams. An ADS satellite with an orbital cannon has been constructed to provide a view of the playing area. The hacker squad cooperates to obtain points by breaking into one of the two sites on the map. The Satellite will punish your opponents by deep-frying them after three points have been earned. Your duty as defenders is to thwart hackers at all costs!
New Legend: Rhapsody
- Rhapsody, a DJ from Kómma where Pythas Inc., a tech company, controls everything, has utilized her passion for music to break out of the risky Neon Dunes nightlife sector and become one of the hottest Legends on the Apex scene. Rhapsody competes in the Apex Games under Pythas' sponsorship even though her mother, a great AI developer who made Rowdy, Rhapsody's companion robot, had a troubled relationship with them in the past. Rhapsody offers a variety of advantages and skills, including:
- Passive: Gifted Ear - Picks up and visualizes sounds from an extended range.
- Tactical: Hype Anthem - Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect.
- Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave - Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that block incoming sight and scans.
- Legend Progression Perks:
- Volume Control - Squadmates affected by your Tactical temporarily gain Gifted Ear.
- Sound Bleed -Occasionally see nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls. ○ Tuned In - Continuous running increases the range of Gifted Ear.
- Reverb - The more squadmates your Tactical affects, the longer it lasts.
- Harmony - Your Tactical increases the speed of revives and the effect of healing items.
- Rowdy’s Rhythm - During your ultimate, squadmates standing near Rowdy reload faster.

- Town Takeover: Encore Galore - The carrier Encore Galore has arrived at Kings Canyon painted tip to tail with neon paint almost as loud as Rhapsody’s music. Land on Encore Galore of awesome loot and a chance at finding a VIP pass.
- Rhapsody LIVE: Complete challenges in-game to earn special Rhapsody posters to commemorate this brand new Legends arrival in the Apex Games!
- Conqueror of Kings: Explore Kings Canyon and complete missions in specific locations on the map to obtain rewards!
