Hotel Review: Heroes Hotel - Deluxe Room

Hotel Review Heroes Hotel Manila

This is one of the unusual hotel that I experienced staying at Manila. It is my first time seeing a hotel with a theme which is for me, a good place to enjoy by Western Comic fans. Heroes Hotel is one of the newest hotels in town and guests will surely enjoy the lovely Western hero murals inside the hotel plus the comfortable bed.

Heroes Hotel is located along Osmena Highway in Manila. I highly recommend staying here especially if you need a place to spend time going or after going to the airport. As I mentioned above, the inside of the hotel is surrounded with murals of western superheroes, both from Marvel, DC, Star Wars and more.

Since this hotel is new (they opened last August 2017), some of the floors and fixtures are not yet done but don't worry because the room is so satisfying to stay.

Room Features

I stayed at their Deluxe room from 2:00PM to 12:00PM check in - check out time. Deluxe room comes with a queen-size bed, two coupons as welcome drink that you can avail at the bar located at roof deck (avail it from 7PM to 10PM). The room is card-lock operated and they will give one card per room so be sure not to lose it.

Each room is personalized according to different heroes. For example, mine was a Dalai Lama room. There's a big frame on the wall with infos about Dalai Lama plus a lamp bust-size statue of Dalai Lama. Each room also comes with its own WiFi line to access. WiFi connection is amazing but since I stayed during ASEAN week, the connection is quite unstable (as mentioned at the hotel's front desk).

There's a cabinet and a working safety deposit box plus a pair of slippers.

The room is complete with toiletries such as soap, shampoo with conditioner, a pair of toothpaste and toothbrush, plus hand and body towels good for two people. Rainfall and telephone showers are available per bathroom with both hot and cold water.

Cable TV is also available with flat screen TV. Telephone is also available for both in and outside calls.

The bed? I can't complain anything with the bed and I really love it. It was same as the high-star hotels because its so comfortable and clean to sleep in with thick comforter. It is also one of the hotel's features and they are proud of advertising about the comfortable bed.

The room is spacious plus the big, glass windows makes the room looked good especially during the day. Although the view from the 5th floor is the Osmena Highway (with the ongoing construction of the skyway), I still like it plus the room is soundproof enough not to hear any noise from the outside.

Amenities

Here are some of the amenities that you can experience at Heroes Hotel:

Hotel Review Heroes Hotel Manila Honesty Cafe

■ My stay at Heroes Hotel comes with free breakfast for two at Honesty Cafe. This cafe is made with the concept of testing your honesty and values.

At Honesty Cafe, there are drinks, snacks, beers and wines which are all available. There's no cashier located - just a notebook, pen and money box where you have to list the things you get and put the money on the box. Honesty Cafe is self-service but there's a staff that can assist you if you need something.

During the breakfast (available from 6AM - 10AM), They served a plate of Hotdog Omelette. Unlimited coffee refills, unlimited bread with 3 varieties of sweet spreads (you can toast them on the oven toaster) are also included to the free breakfast.

At Heroes Hotel, one thing that you should remember is YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT INSIDE THE ROOM. The front desk officer will mention it to the guests and will also point the hotel guidelines so be sure to read it.

If you want to eat on the hotel but you crave for some heavy meal, don't hesitate to eat at Honesty Cafe because outside food is allowed in there.

■ Spa, you say? Located at the 4th floor is SHUI Express Hilot Spa. They offer authentic Filipino Hilot (massage) which is good for some rejuvenation. Prices are differ depends on the amount of hour/s the guest/s will choose.

Hotel Review Heroes Hotel Manila Bar With No Name

■ Located at the roof deck is the Bar with No Name which you can avail the welcome drinks (Gin Vodka and Rhum Cola). I just find the prices are a bit expensive for me. So if you want to drink and enjoy the view of Manila-Makati, be sure to prepare some budget.

■ Jazz Up in the Sky and Skybrew Cafe

If you want to chill or craving for some heavy meals, these restaurants are also located at the roof deck of Heroes Hotel. I saw the range of prices but I can't judge or give some review about the two since I didn't try to dine in there. But there are some customers who are eating and looks like enjoying the food.

Hotel Review Heroes Hotel Manila Jacuzzi

■ There might be no pool but you can soak in at the warm jacuzzi located beside the Bar. It is accessible from 10PM - 5PM (as what the staff mentioned). Too bad I didn't able to try it since I am really not aware that there's a jacuzzi and didn't brought some extra clothes. How I would love to dip in. Next time for sure!

Experience

Hotel Review Heroes Hotel Manila

I didn't expect to stay in an enticing hotel such as this. For such a price of Php 2,200 (I am comparing it to a certain hotel with the same price located at SM North EDSA and Heroes Hotel is way better from it so far), I can experience a relaxing staycation at the city. Here are some of the experiences I encountered during my stay:
  • I arrived at the hotel at around 1:45PM. Technically, it was an early check-in time but I am really happy that they accommodated me that early without additional charge.
  • A friendly staff went to my room to serve two glasses of iced tea and a pitcher of water. I didn't expect it but I was glad.
  • I am kinda disappointed that eating inside the room is not allowed. But I am trying to understand it since they aim to prevent the rooms from getting dirty. So apparently, I didn't able to enjoy much watching a movie while on the comfortable bed without the snacks.
  • I really wished that I have known about the jacuzzi! Oh, I love to dip in but I don't have extra clothes with me.
  • I saw a lot of Western Comic hero murals around the hotel. The art is really amazing! The Iron Man statue is also legit and came from an International company as told by the hotel's Interior Designer/Architect. He also told that there would be some themed-rooms soon!
  • You guys might be wondering where did I have my dinner? I found a cafeteria one street afar from the back of the hotel. Php 45.00 for HotSiLog is not bad right? There's also a 7-11 Convenience Store below the hotel.

Rating: 4.5 / 5.0

Heroes Hotel is surely an addition to my 'to visit again' list. I do hope that they will have more customers soon because they really deserve it. Its just too bad that the location is a bit far from the crowded areas. Heroes Hotel is worth the staycation to destress yourself from the hassle of everyday-living.
