Uni-Pak Recipe: Mackerel Cabbage Soup + Giveaway

There are lots of recipes that you can do using the fresh and tasty in-can products from Uni-Pak. But what if you're in a budget, like you only have Php 50.00 and you need to make a dish which is easy to prepare? Here's a simple Mackarel Cabbage Soup recipe, perfect to pair with rice!

Let's start making Mackerel Cabbage Soup:

Ingredients:

1 small can Uni-Pak Mackerel in Natural Oil
4 cloves Garlic, chopped
1 small Red or White Onion, chopped
1 small size Cabbage, shredded
1 cup Water

Prodecure:

Open the Uni-Pak Mackerel in Natural Oil. Separate the oil from the fish meat. Set aside.
Saute onion and garlic. Add the fish meat and mix. Season with salt and pepper for added taste.
Add the shredded cabbage and mix it altogether. Once the cabbage is slightly cooked, add the separate mackerel oil.
Simmer until boiling. Add water depends on your amount preference. Add salt and pepper again if its necessary.
Simmer it again. Enjoy!

For 2-3 servings.

My personal opinion: While I was cooking this dish, I was surprised how tasty these Mackerel in Natural Oil by Uni-Pak. I only needed to put less salt because of it. Compared to other brand that we usually buy which is a bit tasteless. It is indeed true that hindi lang basta nakasanayan, the best na yan. Kaya basta Mackerel dapat tatak Uni-Pak.
