At the heart of Araneta Center lies a newly-rise 4-star hotel. Novotel Manila Araneta Center offers guests a very relaxing experience within the busy city in which assures you to have an enjoyable and memorable stay. I had a chance to experience staying at Novotel Manila and indeed, it was one of the best and relaxing city staycation I had so far. I’ll be sharing my review about my experience here at Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
Novotel Manila is located within the Araneta Center at Cubao, Quezon City. Opened last October 2015, they offer a 4-star hotel experience for each guest at a reasonable price. Aside from the rooms are the amenities that customers can enjoy.

As you check-in, you’ll need to fill-out a form about your contact details. There’s an assurance fee of Php 3,000 (any room types) that you’ll need to deposit and will be returned after your stay. If you happened to have no extra cash with you, it's okay. But as a return, they will be locking up the mini-bar and outside calls will not be operational.
I stayed at their Superior Room (Php 5,500 Nett, good for 2 persons or more). The whole room is spacious enough to move around. To give you briefer details, here are some of the room features at their Superior Room:
- The bed can be requested to either one queen-sized bed or 2 twin-sized beds. So if you are a couple, go for the queen-sized. If your kids or relatives/friends are with you, request for the twin-sized beds.
- There’s a complimentary coffee sachets with separated sugar and creamer (good for 2 persons), teabags, two bottles of mineral water, soap, toothbrush with toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner. Plus there’s also a complimentary newspaper every morning on which they hang outside of your door.
- There are face towels, hand towels, body towels and bathrobes (good for 2 persons) available.
- Coffee mugs, water glasses, plate, fork and knife plus electric kettle available for use per room.
- Lazy to call a room service or go outside to buy some booze? Available at their mini-bar are drinks like juices and beers. The prices are listed and can be found on top of the mini fridge.
- Don’t worry about lacking of sockets. I saw an approx. of 10 sockets on the room (with different plug types) which is a plus factor for me.
- Security vault is also available on the closet so if you want to go outside and leave some things which are important, you can keep it on their security vault for a while.
- Complimentary breakfast is available at Food Exchange Manila. Enjoy a buffet breakfast which will give you lots of food choices to choose from.
- Superior Room (Php 5,500 Nett) includes: accommodation for 2 adults with buffet breakfast for 2, free access to amenities such as Gym, Swimming Pool + 2 kids below 16 years old are free of charge (with also free buffet breakfast and free access t amenities).
- Located at the 6th floor, their kiddy pool and adult pool is open every day from 7am. On Fridays-Sundays, they close the whole area at 5PM because they convert it as a party area for The 6th Pool Bar and Lounge. Don’t worry about bringing your towels with you because they will lend you a towel for your convenience. Just don’t forget to wear a proper swimwear (spandex) or else you can’t use the pool. Adult pool is around 5ft in depth and kiddy pool I think is around 2-3 ft. Security guards and life guards are also around.
- They have a gym which is free for use which is also located at the 6th floor. As of today, their gyms are not yet constructed but you still can do some gym routine on the rooms which they converted as gym for a while. There will be two gyms that will open approx. by March 2016 – Adult gym and gym for the kids.
- You can use their desktops located at the lobby area if you need to do some researching.
- Food places such as The 6th Pool Bar and Lounge (located at the pool area), Gourmet Bar and Food Exchange Manila (located at the ground floor) is also available.
Here are some points and plus factors I experienced at Novotel Manila Araneta Center:
- I do wish that there were 2 pairs of room slippers and 2 pieces of toothbrush available.
- As an observant, it would be great to have a swimwear for rent available. So that those people who wish to swim can avail if they forgot to wear proper swimwear. Aside for customer convenience, it would be a profitable idea for the hotel.
- It would also be great if the check-in and checkout counters are separated (rather than each counter can do both) so that guests can patiently wait for their turn.
- We went to The 6th Pool Bar and Lounge and sad to say, it was raining. Because the area is open, it's not that wise to stay outside. I wish they can build some shed at the DJ booth area so even it's raining, the DJ can still play his music.
- Price-wise, it is very affordable to avail their rooms with the kids. 2 kids below 16 years old are free of charge plus they can also enjoy buffet breakfast at Food Exchange Manila.
- The Internet connection is fast on any place within the hotel.
- Staffs are very accommodating and very polite, especially for those at reception, pool area and at Food Exchange Manila.
- The bed is very comfortable. Or should I say, the whole room is very comfortable. Lightings, interiors, air-conditioned room, everything about it is very relaxing.
To sum it all up, I know that there would be a chance that Novotel Manila will be upgraded into a 5-star hotel. So de-stress yourself and have your staycation within the city at Novotel Manila Araneta Center!
