Chocolate Pastillas (with video)

Pastillas is not just about being in coffee and milk flavor. It can also be made in chocolate! This sweet delicacy known at Bulacan, Philippines has been passed in different generations and also one of the best-seller desserts which tourists bought at delicatessen shop here in Bulacan. Today, we will be making another variety of this dessert - Chocolate Pastillas.

  • 1/2 cup Condensed Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Powdered Milk
  • 1 cup Chocolate Powdered Drink
For coating:
  • 4 tbsp Chocolate Powdered Drink
  • 4 tbsp Sugar

  1. In a bowl, combine the powdered milk and chocolate powdered drink. Mix together. Form a 'hole' at the center and pour the condensed milk. Mix well until you get the not-so-sticky consistency. If it's too sticky, add some more chocolate powdered drink.
  2. In another bowl, mix the sugar and the remaining chocolate powdered drink.
  3. Back at your mixture, form a shape that you want and coat it with the sugar-choco powdered milk. Put it in a tray.
  4. Once done, put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to an hour.

Can make up to 30 pieces of Chocolate Pastillas (depends on the size you made).
